Building A Business
Through this program the Nkuze Youth Foundation promotes business growth among young people through training them in the different aspects of sustainable and profitable businesses.
The sole purpose of this program is to help and support young people to build and grow sustainable businesses for their livelihoods and community development.
Almost all the material used in the “Building a Business” program is created and provided by Boundless Minds Uganda. The training material covers topics like:-
- What business would you want to venture in?
- Why are you choosing that particular business?
- Capital for starting up a business
- Business and Market research
- Marketing your business
- Customer and Customer service
- Record keeping
- Expenses
- Profits and losses
- Maintaining business growth.
- Managing challenges in a business
Beneficiaries
The “Building a Business” program is open to all beneficiaries of the foundation and is done in cohorts of 20 to 30 individuals over a period of three months or more. This enables our partners’ boundless minds Uganda, to do a comprehensive on job one on one training and support for each young person’s business.
This is a practical and continuous program because of the way business trends keep changing, calling for refresher courses every time. So we keep encouraging all the beneficiaries in the different cohorts to keep learning and sharing knowledge with each other as they grow their different businesses.
The other arm of this program is the youth saving scheme where the young people have a SACCO to save money and get affordable loans for their businesses. The SACCO is still under development but hopefully in the near future it will be operational.
